Director of Athletics Scott Dulin is please to announce that Dennis Norford has been named Athlete of the Month for December. The New Haven, CT senior is being recognized with this honor for becoming the sixth student-athlete in Fisher College Men's Basketball history to surpass the 1000 point barrier for his career.

In his 7th game of his senior campaign, Norford contributed 16 points for the Falcons during an 80-66 loss to Westfield State University. Sitting on 14 points with just under 2 minutes remaining in the game, Norford was able cut to the basket for a lay-up to put him into history.

Dennis Norford reached the 1000 point mark in 78 career games played. For his career Norford averages 12.3 points per game to go along with 7.6 rebounds per contest. This season he is averaging just less than 20 points a game at 18.7 points, placing him 30th best in NAIA Division II.

During his four year career at Fisher College, Norford has won 2 Sunrise Conference Championships.
