NORTHFIELD, VT. - Fisher College swept Norwich University on the road, winning 25-14, 25-17, and 25-8. The Falcons showed dominance across all three sets, controlling both offense and defense throughout the match. The Falcons rise to a 13-6 record while Norwich falls to 1-13.
Junior Caroline Saucier (Sarasota, Fla.) led Fisher's attack with 7 kills. Senior Alicia Tkach (Middleton, Mass.) followed with 6 kills and 14 digs, showcasing her all-around game. Junior Alondra Farinacci (Ponce, Puerto Rico) added 6 kills, 8 assists, and 2 service aces, while sophomore Paola Velazquez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) tallied 11 assists to orchestrate the offense. On defense, senior Edsyl Irizarry (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) recorded a team-high 22 digs and 2 service aces, while sophomore Sofia Campos (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) contributed 10 digs and 4 service aces.
For Norwich, junior Bella Belldina Ray (Martinsburg, W.Va.) and senior Abby Kanaga (Apopka, Fla.) each recorded 4 kills. Senior Ava Nihill (Marshfield, Mass.) set up the offense with 13 assists, while junior Autumn Parkhurst (Parish, N.Y.) and sophomore Lillie Ells (Centerville, Mass.) each posted 10 digs.
Fisher's next match is at Vermont State University - Castleton for a double header with the hosting team and the University of Western Connecticut on October 5th starting at 1 p.m., while Norwich will travel to Roger Williams University on October 12th at 1 p.m.
