Story written by Anthony Perry '08, Fisher College Associate Director of Athletics

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. – The fifth-seeded Fisher College Men's Basketball team held on late as they upset fourth-seeded Morris College, 80-75 in the 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College. The win is the first post-season conference win for the program since they joined the CAC (formerly the A.I.I.) and their first since capturing the Sunrise Conference Tournament on February 27, 2011.

The win also snaps a seven-game losing streak at the conference tournament for the Falcons as they made appearances in the A.I.I. post-season in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020 in addition to the last three seasons under fifth-year Head Coach Anthony Leonelli (2023, 2024, 2025).

Trailing by three at the intermission, Fisher battled back with a 48-point second half performance for the win. The Falcons saw five different student-athletes reach double-digits in scoring as it was a well-rounded team effort. Senior Justin Covington (New Haven, Conn.) and freshman Anthony Saunders (Alexandria, Va.) each netted the team-high of 14 points while senior Ezekiel Edwards (Ettrick, Va.) added 12 points in a starting effort. Junior Jad Reda (San Antonio, Texas) shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points off the bench while senior Amari Jamison (Boston, Mass.) contributed 13 points in a reserve outing. Senior Anthony Douglas Jr. (East Hartford, Conn.) collected seven rebounds in addition to his nine points in the quarterfinal victory.

The highlight of the night belongs to Jamison, who had a thunderous dunk with 4:58 remaining in the second half that sent the Falcon bench into a frenzy and gave the team a nine-point lead (64-55).

Morris saw Gary Bair record the game-high of 20 points while Damian Mack and Michael Wynn finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Julian Miller was the game's leading rebounder with 11 boards in the season ending loss for the Hornets.

Fisher (17-11 overall) moves on the face the tournament host and top-seeded Georgia Gwinnet College. Game time is set for 1pm tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. Live video and stats can be found at www.ContinentalAthletics.com.
