Motroni Hired To Lead Women's Basketball Program

Fisher College Director of Athletics Scott Dulin has named Josh Motroni the new Head Women's Basketball Coach.  Motaroni is the third Head Coach in the program's history and will take over a program that finished last in the American Mideast Conference at 0-30.

Josh arrives at Fisher College after spending the last two seasons at Belmont High School (MA) where he was the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.   Prior to Belmont, Motroni was the Head Coach at Northern Essex Community College.

From 2005-2007 Motroni served as the 1st Assistant Coach at Emerson College (MA).  At Emerson Motroni helped guide the Lions from an 11-14 record to a 16-9 regular season record a trip to the postseason.

Motroni began his coaching career as an Associate Head Coach at Brimmer & May School in Chestnut Hill, MA.  From 2001 to 2005 Motroni help lead the team to four consecutive conference championships and four consecutive NEPSAC Final Four appearances. The 2005 NEPSAC New England Championship was the first championship in the school's history.

Motroni is a 1996 graduate of St. Joseph's College (ME) with a degree in Communications.  When not coaching, Josh works as an Operations Technician for New England Sports Network (NESN).

Josh and his wife Marianne reside in Woburn with their two children Joey & Grace.
