LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference unveiled their 2026 All-Conference teams earlier today before the start of the conference tournament held in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Fisher College sophomore Kaleigh Laidlaw (Medford, Mass.) was selected as a utility player on the All-Conference Honorable Mention team.
Laidlaw started and played in all 22 games for the Falcons this spring. The Medford, Massachusetts native batted .237 on the season (9-for-38) with a double, triple and an RBI. She led the team in walks (9) and runs scored (3) while finishing with a .383 on-base percentage.
The left-handed outfielder made the conversion to every day shortstop following the conclusion of the season-opening 10 game trip to Florida. Once she settled in, the bat ignited as she batted .318 (7-for-22) over the final 12 games and solidified herself as a team leader on the diamond. Her best outing at the plate came in the second game of the April 12 double-header at Bay Path University as she went a perfect 2-for-2 with a double. Laidlaw also collected a multi-hit game in the double-header opener at home against Fitchburg State on April 25, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI.
"Kaleigh is a gifted student-athlete who blossomed over the second half of the season." said interim Head Coach Anthony Perry '08. "Her will, grit and gamer attitude helped glue this young team together since returning from Florida. I am glad to see her receive this accomplishment and I doubt this will be the only one in her Fisher career."
Laidlaw is the first Fisher College Softball student-athlete to be selected to the CAC All-Conference team since Madison Kelley '23 was named as a catcher on the Honorable Mention team. For the official release on the CAC All-Conference Softball team, please click here.
