Lynn, MA – The Lady Falcons (0-14) faced the University of Maine Maritime Mariners (6-1) on Sunday. Fisher was able to keep the score at 0-0 until the 3rd inning when the Mariners hitting began to turn on. The Mariners recorded a total of 15 hits on Pitcher Kaleigh Gilbert. The Falcons were able to get on the board after Mariners Pitcher Abby Yeo walked Andrea Martucci with bases loaded, forcing Gilbert to score. After that Shannon May made it to first on an error by Cindy Schultz and Demi Bourous was able to reach home plate.
The comeback ended as Michelle Fabiano grounded to first base and it was not enough to top the Mariners.
The second game the Mariners (7-1) were able to top the Falcons (0-15) 17-1. The lone Falcon run was scored in the 4th inning after a deep hit by Demi Bourous to center field. She was able to reach second and then scored after Andrea Martucci was able to get on base after an error by Abby Yeo.
The Lady Falcon's return to action on Thursday when they face SUNY Canton at 7pm.
