Fisher drops season opener to USCB

It was a tough start to the season for the Fisher College softball team as they fell to the University of South Carolina Beaufort, 19-0.

USCB pitcher Kristy Cook threw a perfect game after striking out 12 of 15 batters and allowing no hits.  Fisher senior Brittney Calderon gave up 14 earned runs in 4 innings of work, tallying 1 strikeout. 

USCB scored in every inning, including six runs in the first to cruise to their third win on the season.

This was the first of four games scheduled against the USCB Sand Sharks.
