Fisher Falls To Colby For The 2nd Time This Week

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Ben Foreman (Los Angeles, Calif.) followed up his 30-point performance on Friday with 26 more points to lead the Colby College men's basketball team to a 71-65 victory over Fisher College on Sunday at Whitmore-Mitchell Court at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
 
Colby (3-2 overall) won the three-team tournament with a 2-0 record over Fisher and University of Maine at Fort Kent. Fisher fell to 2-9 overall and lost to the Mules for the second time in a week.
 
Foreman shot 8-for-15 from the field and 6-for-9 from 3-point range. He is averaging 20.8 points and is shooting a blistering 53 percent from 3-point range in five games.
 
Connor O'Neil (Freeport, Maine) added 11 points, while Alex Swanson (Lancaster, Pa.) came off the bench and contributed eight points and eight rebounds. Eric Beaulieu (Concord, Mass.) finished with six points and seven rebounds, Ben Brassord (Amherst, Mass.) had six points and three boards, and Shane Rogers (Newburgh, N.Y.) dished four assists and had five points.
 
Ryan McCorkle (Bellevue, Wash.) had a team-high 17 points for Fisher. Dennis Norfold (New Haven, Conn.) played with foul problems and still had eight points, six rebounds, and three assists. Sam Nwadike (Houston, Texas) also had eight points.
 
Despite Fisher shooting 55 percent from the field in the opening half, Colby shot 50 percent and took a 46-38 lead into the break. Both teams shot 37 percent in the second half.

Fisher will return to action Wednesday night when they will host Bates College. The Bobcats currently sit at 2-2 on the year. Tip-off is scheduled to 7PM at Fectau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.
