Falcons Add 5 To The 2012-2013 Roster

Boston, MA – Coach Dave Lindberg announced the addition on five new members to the Men's Basketball program today. Coming off a 10-20 season the Falcons look to retool as they look to make a run at the NAIA Association of Independent Institutions Tournament this February in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Sparked by the departure of 2nd Team All – American Mideast Conference performer Dennis Norford, Coach Lindberg looked to add much needed depth to his front court. The 2012 recruiting class consists of four freshmen and one sophomore.

6'7" 210 pound center, Dana Hines headlines Coach Lindberg's new class.  A graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School in Boston, MA, Hines received All-Scholastic honors after his senior campaign.  The skilled big man spent his first three years of high school at Concord-Carlisle prior to transferring the Jeremiah Burke. "Hines has a create touch around the rim," noted Coach Lindberg, "He is extremely long and challenges every shot in the paint."

Danny Garner of Oceanside, California adds additional height to the Falcons front line.  The 6'6'' graduate of El Camino High School averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds per game for one of the most reputable high school programs in Southern California.  "Garner is a crafty post player who possesses a nice skill set and a high basketball IQ.  His quality post moves and hard work on both ends of the floor will add some toughness to this year's team," says Coach Lindberg.

A third forward was added to the mix with the signing of Dennis-Yarmouth High School product Ryan Donahue.  A 6'4" 205 pound forward, Donahue has the ability to score from in the post as well as beyond the three point line.  Ryan has a good feel for the game and can guard the wing or the post positions.  During his senior season at DYHS, Donahue averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds per game.

To go along with the three big men, Coach Lindberg added a pair of guards to the 2012 team. Freshman Domenic Mondi and sophomore Tyler Radicioni will provide instant offense for the Falcons.

Mondi, a 5'9" point guard from Woburn, MA is a pass first guard who has the ability to knock down a shot from anywhere on the court.  Possessing a high basketball IQ, Mondi averaged 14 points and 4 assists per game last season for Woburn High School.

Radicioni, the lone transfer to this year's class arrives from the University of Rhode Island.  A prolific scorer at Chariho High School, Radicioni finished his high school career with over 1000 points scored.  The Westerly, Rhode Island native averaged 20 points and 6 assists per game his senior year.

The new and returning Falcons will start the 2012-2013 season on Saturday November 3rd when they host former Sunrise Conference rival University of Maine at Machias.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm at Fectau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.
