Davis, Falcons Suffer Tough Loss to Vermont Tech in Non-Conference Action

The Fisher women's soccer team lost a non-conference battle with Vermont Technical College last night at East Boston Memorial Park by a score of 4 -1.  Vermont Tech's Ashley Lockerby was unstoppable on the day recording 4 goals for the Lady Knights.  Lockerby opened the scoring by beating Falcons goalkeeper Deanna Morency to the near post after being fed a through ball from sophomore Kristen Gonyau.  Lockerby added her second goal of the night when freshmen Rebecca Rossell put her in own goal.

Facing a two goal deficit, the Falcons turned up the pressure on the Lady Knights.  Senior Amanda Davis scored Fisher's first goal of the season on a low driven shot to the corner after a perfectly placed pass from sophomore Lauren Powers.

Trailing 2 -1 at half time the Falcons continued to battle the Lady Knights until Lockerby completed her hat trick with a stellar free kick from the top of the eighteen yard box. Not long after Lockerby finished off her impressive performance with a penalty kick that beat keeper Deanna Morency low to the left side.

Falcons' goalie Deanna Morency finished with 14 saves on the night with a season low 4 goals against.
