Falcons Fall Victim to Walsh University

The Fisher Women fell at the hands of Walsh University this afternoon, 12 – 0.  The Cavaliers were too much for the Falcons as the home side was playing three players down the entire match. Molly Martin got the scoring started for the visitors when she beat keeper Amanda Davis (Dos Palos, CA) with a low driven shot.  Walsh continued the offensive pressure throughout the match, forcing Falcons goalie Davis into 26 saves.

Lauren Jokovich, Carley Adams, and Elizabeth Broome each scored twice for Walsh as they improved to 10 -3 on the year, 6-2 in American Mideast play.  Despite the tremendous effort by Davis, the Falcons fell to 0-13 on the year and 0-10 in conference. In addition to their multi-goal efforts, Jokovich, and Broome set up their teammates with three and two assists, respectively.

The Falcons will return to action next Saturday when the University of Maine – Presque Isle travels to Boston. This will be the last home game of the season for Fisher as senior Katherine Ernest will play her final home contest as a member of the Falcon's soccer team.
