Boston, MA - The Fisher College men's soccer team lost 9–0 today to Daemen College. It was the Falcons' first contest of the season and their first ever game played in the American Mideast Conference.
The falcons were playing even with the Wildcats until a couple defensive lapses led to a Daemen score just 12 minutes into the game. Back to back goals just a minute apart, and an own goal for the Falcons left Fisher chasing for the rest of the game.
Kyle Clifford led Deamen College with three goals on the day while goalkeeper Matt Daddario recorded 7 saves. The Falcons were led by strong play from junior forward Ray Kadzashie (Ghana, Africa/ Mesa CC) and freshman midfielder Keven McLaurin (Springfield, MA/ Springfield Central), who each record multiple shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper John Del Valle (Stoughton, MA/ Massasoit CC) stopped 25 shots including a penalty in the 35th minute.
With the loss the Falcons fall to 0 -1 on the young season while Daemen College improves to 2 -2. The Falcons will returned to action Sunday, September, 11th when Briarcliffe College travels north. The game will be played at East Boston Memorial Park at 12:00pm.
