Briarcliff Blows Past Fisher in Non-conference Action

Boston, MA – Matheus Nogaro and Briarcliffe College were too much to handle for Fisher College today as the men's soccer team fell by the score of 12 –  0.  Nogaro had three goals on the day and nine different teammates beat Falcons goalie John Del Valle (Stoughton, MA/ Massasoit CC).

David Panchano got the scoring started inside five minutes when he cut past defender Elvin Johnson (North Andover, MA/ North Andover) and beat Del Valle near post.

Briarcliffe scored eight first half goals including two by Nogaro. Matheus was able to complete his hat trick shortly into the second half after beating Del Valle low in the corner.

John Del Valle recorded 16 saves in the Falcons first non-conference game of the season.  For the second consectutive game of the season Keven McLaurin (Springfield, MA/ Springfield Central) produced for the Falcons, working extremely well with his defensive pairing Matt Curry (Westfield, NJ/ Westfield HS).

Following the loss Fisher College falls to 0-2 on the season. They will return to action at home next Friday, September 16th against American Mideast Conference opponent Roberts Wesleyan University.  The contest will begin at 7PM at East Boston Memorial Park.
