Position Changes in the Athletic Department

Boston, Mass. - There have been a few exciting changes in the athletics department here at Fisher College.

Catherine Courtney, who Fisher College hired in the fall of 2016 as the Head Athletic Trainer, was named the Interim Athletic Director late in June.  Before starting at Fisher, Courtney worked as the Head Athletic Trainer at Becker College where she also held administrative roles.  In her years as an athletic trainer, she traveled to Europe with a team representing the US as part of the US Youth Soccer Association Girls Olympic Development Program.

Rob Blouin who for the past six years held the roles as the Associate Head Coach for the men's basketball program has moved up the rank and filled the position of Head Coach. Blouin takes the reigns after former Head Coach David Lindberg stepped down after 12 years. Blouin will take on additional responsibilities in his new role as Head Coach.

As Blouin steps into the head role, Assistant Coach Jesse Ford will take on the Associate Head Coach position. Ford has been an Assistant Coach with the program for three years alongside Blouin. Ford has helped with recruiting, on court preparations, film, and other program duties, and plans to continue doing so in his new role.

Janice Dominguez has taken on the sole role of Head Cheerleading Coach.  This past season, Dominguez was a Co-Head Coach of the squad.  She aspires to bring the squad to competition this season while also cheering at all men's and women's basketball home games.

The Fisher College Men's Golf Club program has become a varsity sport. Seth Woods, who has been the head coach of the club for the past two seasons, will remain and continue in his leadership role. The team looks to compete in several tournaments this fall.
